Shot 1 at 1/40th - with the bike coming at me, the whole bike will not be in focus (camera at different plane to the bike - another link somewhere on this site explains the concept), although in this shot the front and rear '44' are almost in focus but not the rider. Obviously, at 1/40th there is more motion and background blur: Mostly, just have fun and practice - you will be surprised how quicky your shots will improve with a little practice. aka Tony
