I'll know better next time -Chris-Website

I'll know better next time ![]() Yeah, "good" panning shots takes practice! It's kind of counter-intuitive -- we are used to being "programmed" to the idea of a fast shutter speed and a wide aperture to get "selective focus" without blurring the subject and having the soft background, but this type of shooting calls for a slow shutter speed, and typically a narrow aperture to keep the subject in focus. The effect is all about learning to track the subject over a span of time/distance (slow shutter speed) and having a good amount of the subject in focus (narrow aperture). And, having a steady panning technique so that the fine details of that subject are crisp and sharp! Tony
