Nice work Luke although if I may mate, I would perhaps suggest shifting the bikes and cars just a tad further forward when cropping ... having space for them to run in to always looks good IMHO, but to me these seem like they are set just a bit too far back in the frame and so a bit out of balance.

Love the shot of the white Opel Rally car and the rooster tail of stones. Would like a pic along these lines. Caught the real atmosphere of standing on a rally stage.

Take it you were at Brands yesterday love the Ferrari shot.

Going through my many many shots now and nothing special so far annoying thing is i even wrote down certain shutter speeds i had used last weekend at certain parts of the circuit for a resonable safe shot but had to bin quite a few already :(

Did manage this flame out from the Aston shame the pic is not better quality :(

I was told by an old F1 photographer (back in the analogue days), that with the sun behind you, the colours of the cars would come alive. I've seen a lot of his pics and they truely look amazing. But I get the same effect as you had with your pics. Sun position is important for motorsports photography, but apparently it's not as simple as I thought. Dummy me, calculating sun positions for different times on my local race track....lol.

Hey Enzo ... I got a "snap shot" just like that from last weekend ;)

This is turn 1 at Portimao with the sun behind my right shoulder from what I remember (no CPL - see below).

Thing I find is, depending on the time of day the sun can create tonnes of contrast down here in The Algarve, so you have to stop the camera back a little and bring it back in PP ... if the sun is directly overhead or at 90º to where I am shooting I sometimes whack a CPL on and see what results that brings, often helps to cut down a bit of the glare and get some nice deep colours

Some of the pictures posted here (actually most of them!) are truly inspiring!

This two are from my first attempt (about 600+ pictures during the course of an entire day). I am surprised at how hard it really is to follow the cars to actually freeze the car when shutter speeds are low, which only increases my respect for the work posted here. Thanks for sharing.
