Cosky
nice shots however you have got some serious dirt on your sensor.

i love this shot..how did u do this?

he got this shot from another vehicle travelling close to the same speed as the Evo.
This is an easy way to pan, great way to start out and play with camera settings to get the look and feel for your pics.
results in a nice blur of the background and very linear.

Here's one from the local SCCA Autocross over the weekend. Only minor editing, no cropping.

Dude a bit of dust is one thing, what you've got is way beyond that. The problem is that you've got a really cool shot but the muck on the sensor is really distracting.

I'm sorry but agosling is absolutely right. The amount of dirt specs you have on your sensor is distracting, it was the first thing I noticed.
Are you changing lenses outside next to the MX track if so that is your problem right there.
restrict the lens changes, or if you have to change lenses do it inside your car or something.
Umm no a clean sensor isn't just for protrait shots.
Even though it is a panning shot you'll still see the dirt on the sensor especially when the aperture is stepped down ie f/11 or smaller ie f/22 if you want to see the location of the dirt on your sensor just take a pic at f/22 of a bright object, such as a clear sky which has to be correctly exposed, when you take the shot move the camera around, I guarantee you on every shot you take, you'll see the blurred spots in the exact same location on every frame.
and then tell us who needs glasses.
I can see them and I have 20/15 vision after Lasik surgery.

Just a quick dust check...

The bits in the background that are circular are dust (f14 is helping there) as if they were part of the background they'd be blurred and if they were part of the forground they wouldn't be circular and all the same size.

Up to f8 or so you probably wouldn't be able to see them.

Next time it's bright and you're taking this kind of shot, try adding an ND4 filter to bring the aperture back down below f8.

Great shot by the way.

Cosky, I am sorry that you seem to have taken what I said as some sort of personal attack, it wasn't that in any way, I could see an issue with your image that could easily be corrected and that was having a very negative impact on your work, so I highlighted it, that is one of the things that a forum like this is for.

That is all I wanted was someone to take my photo and show me! It blended in so well on my screen I did not notice. Thanks!!!

I will adjust this issue asap!!
