Bilde_14 is an amazing shot.

I'll spam Indy's Turn 6 a little. I've probably posted some before. I'll post some of my best Ben Spies pics from over the years. I didn't get a chance to catch an Elbowz shot this year, unfortunately.

Awesome shots Kristian and dmayesjr!!
What were your settings? such as AF and metering and such. Not worried about the shutter speed or aperture cause I am pretty good at panning. Just want to know how you keep it all focused is all.

Great shots, dmayesjr. T6 at Indy is a great place to pan and those are excellent!

7D + 300mm f4L + 1.4x TC. I've used single point with expansion for the last year or so and have been pleased with the results.

The hardest thing for me with Indy was getting the initial focus lock for tracking since the track layout and fencing can prevent seeing the riders until the last second. At the spots where I could see the riders coming, the camera did a much better job keeping the focus.

Thanks :)

I'm using one AF-point, mostly center. AI Servo, AF Expansion -> Surrounding AF points, and two steady arms ;p

This is with the 1D mkIV.

Usually center/spot, AI Servo, and I rarely go above 1/125th. I think the main thing for focus, is just to relax. Don't swerve the lens back and forth five times in a single pack. And try to rotate without moving the lens up and down too much. I'm sure that freaks out the AF more than any other elements.
