My first ever attempts at it. I think these were 1/80th with my SL1 and cheapo 55-250 IS II. Was happy with the results.

Man panning shots are the best. I was able to attend Barber Motorsports for the Grand Prix of Alabama as well. I'll throw up the pair I liked the most. Now to find out how I can get on the other side of the fences :).

Mstephens13: Next event go on the media side of the barber website and sign up for media passes. It will get you into pits, behind the gates, right at each turn behind the safety fences where they have holes cut out for photographers, etc. Its really awesome. This is how I got such close up shots during HIGPA this year.

Although i personally prefer panning shots to be level or at least not in this extreme of an angle, this shot is awesome. You did a great job getting the majority of the car in focus!
