Relatively easy to obtain a pass? do they just ask for prior work example pics? I'd LOVE to do this but thought it was a bit tougher and Im not exactly a pro. just for fun.

I'd LOVE to do this but thought it was a bit tougher and Im not exactly a pro. just for fun. I'm definitely no pro. I've been into photography for a long time but its always just been for fun as a hobby. I was surprised to how easy it was. You just provide basic info and a website (in my case i gave them my Flickr link) and thats about it. I got approved within a 2 days or so. Some events/tracks are much more strict but for Barber it was very easy and SO worth it. Free entry, free food at the media center, parking location is probably the best bc its so easy to get in and out and of course being able to get to photographer exclusive areas is awesome | Canon 7D Gripped | Canon 20D | Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 | Canon 24mm f2.8 | Canon 50mm f1.8 | Canon 18-55mm f3.5 |

Thanks for the info!! Those shots are awesome man. Very jealous there's no fence in front of you! Next time I'll give it a try. You did a great job getting the majority of the car in focus! I know, me too. But after a while it was getting boring to always get the same shot so I tried something different. I'm glad it works and that people enjoy it. http://www.virginie-bitterlin.com

Looks like an old March F2? Thank you, still struggling to get much sharp slower 1/40. It is an old March 761 F2, once driven by Katsu Kubota and Ronnie Peterson.

midgeman Senior Member More info | May 06, 2015 12:04 | #6657 I hear you. That's about the limit at that focal length anyway. Plus, it's sometimes impossible to get the entire car sharp anyway because of how it's moving in relation to the camera and pan. I enjoy shooting at low shutter speeds, just not the extra un-needed shots that come with it.
