I can't remember where I took this.... it's just a blur.
It will come to me when the tequila wears off.

If you have never been to the dirt track...it is wild, those guys are the original drift kings...they pitch it into the corners and slide ALL the way around and then hammer down! It was great fun to watch, particularly from the point of view I had...

If you have never been to the dirt track...

I shot a dirt track one time. Even with a rain sleeve everything was covered in fine dust. The auto focus on my 70-200 still makes a strange noise. Some great opportunities for photos - I asked what the rules were and was told "Just don't get hit".

BTW, Nice shots.

Thanks. Yeah, everything was covered in a fine dust, it was everywhere. The track I was shooting at, had a pro that was the hired shooter for the place, I was his guest, no one else was allowed to shoot where we were...it was nice, we just had to be safe...it took a few passes of those cars right under your feet on the wall to get comfy with it. It was great fun though.

I see you're in Roswell. Was this at Dixie Speedway by chance?

Thanks Frank :-)

They are great tracking practice, this particular one has amazing suspension, which helps a lot for panning. I have got to buy a lens, I am thinking the 24-70 f/4 would work pretty well.

Those X-Maxx's aren't little ... Those things are downright monsters! I had an E-Maxx yonks ago.

Nice shot Randy. Bloody difficult I imagine, those things just accelerate and turn so fast. The Traxxas youtube channel is flat out amazing, should see they things they capture there.
