Zefy Mostly Lurking More info Post edited over 7 years ago by Zefy. | Apr 03, 2016 04:02 | #7022 Hey thanks! in this instance i think it looks pretty cool but since I'm only getting a few shots as the car goes by it's hard to nail it. Also Mozes, really liking these through the trees shots! Is it hard to maintain focus with the trees whipping by?

PhotosGuy Cream of the Crop, R.I.P. More info | Apr 03, 2016 08:55 | #7024 Any tips for getting the whole car in focus? Part of it is due to the way the shutter works. Part is due to other factors. Look at post #5 here: First shoot with moving cars need advice. I used the same shutter speed for both. FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...

Also Mozes, really liking these through the trees shots! Is it hard to maintain focus with the trees whipping by? Start by picking a shutter speed that you feel that you can comfortably handle - (start high and work down). Adjust the ISO until you can use a fairly high aperture, f/16 or so, in order to have enough depth of field to cover the whole car. As per John Crossley "motion parallax" also comes into play as portions of the car are moving at different speeds relative to the camera plane. https://www.flickr.com/photos/22055591@N05/albums
