I think I should have tried 1/100 for a bit less blur...?

Tough shot for me, 70-200 with the 2x, all the way out to 400mm...panning with a fast car at 1/80...handheld...glad one with the flames was sharp. From the SVRA/Trans Am races a weekend ago...feels like a month.

Have managed to get fairly consistent with the 300mm down to 1/60th but need to practice more with the 500 now.

Ah yes bud,not got very low with the 300mm this year yet as only just blown the cobwebs off after winter but dont worry will stick a few up in a couple of weeks after round 1 LOL.

That wasnt even the one i ment to post LOL.

Want to try and get consistent at 1/25 with the 70-200 @ 200mm but the big primes i will be happy with at 1/60th

Hope your well my friend.

One from to day at Brands Hatch, taken in between the rain and the hail.. Possibly too much blur for some, used slow shutter to compensate for boring background at that part of the circuit.

First attempt at panning shots. This will definitely take some practice.

Taken at Road Atlanta during the opening round of MotoAmerica

This is not a panning shot is it? I like it tho.
What is this technique called and what kind of software did you use to combine these images?

I find superbikes by far the hardest thing to pan!

Well done for giving it a go and not a bad first effort. I’ve been panning for the last year and practice makes all the difference, I’m less panicky, feels like I have more time to get the shot and hit rate has improved loads. Just need more interesting cars and backgrounds. Keep going :-)
