I need help restoring this photo. It is of my grandmother many years ago. My PP work makes it look better before the editing .

After I had my go at reconstruction It still looked splotchy so I made a canvas effect painting out of it. If you can get it close and have it printed on canvas it may look presentable.

Great job removing the cracks th3r0m. Do you have an easier way than stitching up each wound with clone?

Here is a quick shot at color and contrast work...

This whole process is a little subjective as there are many ways to skin the cat.

But I start by making changes in a levels layer that makes the teeth and eye whites have balanced RGB numbers.

Then pump up the saturation. Then merge these layers then dupe the merged layer.

I then changed the blend mode of the top of the two identical layers to soft light 50%. Merge again.

Then smart sharpen and Image/adjustment/shado​whighlight to reduce shadows.

Just keep trying. Saving history is noble work.
