These were taken with the MK III. Checking ISO performance mainly which is better than 5D after I ran some tests. I had to use Canon DPP which I am not used to at all on these since photoshop doesn't support cam yet.

Looks like that camera is a winner. Your ISO 1600 looks better than my 400.

The IQ on your pictures looks GREAT!

Have a great time enjoying your new camera. I'm sure you will be pinching yourself to make sure it is not just a dream.

I'm looking forward to having one of my own.

ISO 200 and 400, no point in that!

Just to sum up and not make this into a MK III thread. The main things I see for this camera and my bird photography after just 1 day's use is:

AF performance is fast, actually faster than MK IIN. It happens so smooth and fast i don't even know I pushed the button sometimes.

Noise especially shadow noise is much better.

Makes me able to go to 800 ISO for my 'standard' setting if I need the shutter speed.

Maybe my imagination but tracking birds against a busy bg today was actually possible! Needs more testing.

The 1600 is good but there is still plenty of room for improvement. I did a test and the 1D MK III was best in 800, 1600 and 3200 noise, 5D was next followed by the MK IIN. There is not a huge gap between these 3 in noise but enough to notice.

Wow, that 1600 is amazing. I shot a 1600 today with my 20D and it's noisy as h*ll.

I think I've got to get that camera. :)

Nice test shots, I'm a little bit jealous regarding the Mklll.
