Very nice pics! Subjects are clearly in focus without distracting background, which, in each case, superbly accentuates the birds. Nicely done. What equipment did you use to capture these?

thanks. the cardinal and swallows were taken with the mkII+ 500 f4 and all the rest were taken with the 100-400 (i still think that i got a super copy of this lens)

A very nice set here with the Cardinal getting most of my attention...super details and BG. Now the 3rd image is quite the smile maker :D as well and the low personal angle really works nicely here.
