Same camera? Can you find them with explorer on your hard drive. Do you have the latest ACR version.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Yes I am using the same camara and settings, other than an adjusted ISO. And yes I can find them on the HD, and Photo Finale can recognize them when I 'Open file', just not PS6.0. I guess I just prefer working in PS to get more familier with it before tackeling another program.

What is ACR?

Photoshop 6.0 is too old to have Adobe Camera Raw, which is the part of Photoshop that opens RAW files. You'll need to process them in another application such as Canon's Digital Photo Professional, before you can open the resulting TIFFs in Photoshop.

In another of your threads here, I've suggested that you might like to consider upgrading that copy of Photoshop 6.0 to Photoshop CS2 whilst you still can, as that's the last opportunity you'll have to upgrade it. Adobe have gone to an 'only so many versions back' upgrade policy from Photoshop CS3 onwards; I believe it's three versions back, so you must have Photoshop 7.0, CS (8.0) or CS2 (9.0) to upgrade to Photoshop CS3 (10.0). You may finish up with Photoshop CS3 for free if you upgrade to CS2 - read the other thread.

Photoshop CS2 has Adobe Camera Raw 3. Photoshop CS3 has Adobe Camera Raw 4, which is a huge enhancement over the previous version, as well as being the RAW engine behind Lightroom. Lightroom can swap settings with Adobe Camera Raw.
