I'm in the market for one or the other as well. Which one is easier---which one has the best results?

Spyder is easy. Huey is easier, but gives you no control (everything's automated).

Spyder is, if you know how/when/why to tweak the settings to suit your needs. The Spyder 2Pro also is a better calibrator (eg 95% 'perfect' vs 90% 'perfect', compared the reaaly $$$ calibration hardware).

I'm not an expert - this is what I found out when I have the same questions lest month. I ended up getting the Spyder2Pro Suite.

I just went through the same wonderings yesterday, and ended up placing an order on Amazon for a HueyPRO for use with my MacBook and PowerBook G4 17". I can't really pin it down to much beyond a "gut feel" choice.

My vote would be neither, and get the Gretag.

I have the Spyder 2 Suite and if I would do it again I would get the Eye One. Not that the Spyder is not working for me, but rather its incomplete for the complete workflow. From image on the screen to the print.

I was talking to Keith Cooper (of http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/ (external link)) who said that the Huey's small size can cause problems with accuracy, and he recommended me the Spyder - I'm more than happy with its results.

Same thing. Monaco owns Xrite or vice versa, can't really remember.
