My first post

This is my first picture post, two photos taken at the desert museum near Tucson. I've had my S3 for about 3 weeks now and am getting a bit more confident in operating it.

Since these are my very first bird pictures, I want to prepare these for prints "suitable for framing"

I would like to have general comments about these pictures and suggestions of things I might do before printing. I have Photoshop 7 Mac.

Welcome, Joe! They're both very nice technically. I think 1 would be nicer if you moved the subject off center to the left, or you could try a vertical format. The second one is nice as is. Great job finding these little guys!

For framing purposes the first one would be best cropped more as the subject is rather small and too centered. The second is better in my opinion, but the two bright leaves would need to be toned down somewhat. Personally I would hold off framing these as I am sure you will get better shots in the very near future.

Oh, and welcome to the forum. You will get good feedback here so don't be afraid to ask...
