I've just tried to order a CF card from Amazon.com but strangely they tell me that they are unable to deliver it to my address (Ireland), has anyone on this side of the pond had a similar problem with memory cards from Amazon. This seems strange because in the same order they are happy to deliver a CD.

Some of the items I've bought from amazon.com have come from other companies (Adorama, Office Depot, etc.). This may be the case with the CF you wanted to order, and if so, the company may have different shipping polices than amazon.com. There's a way to tell where it's coming from, but if I recall, it's not easy to see. I think it'll say over to the right of the item where it says add to basket.

Where abouts in Ireland are you? My daughter-in-law's parents live a short drive from Skibbereen.

Thanks for the info bctrout, that could explain it.

I'm originally from Dublin but I'm now living by the sea in Tramore, Co. Waterford. As it happens I was just down in area of Skibereen at the weekend, went down to surf. It's a beautiful spot, if you haven't already, I'd recommend visiting

We spent two weeks over there in November of 2002. Only had a chance to see County Cork and County Kerry, but what we did see was beautiful. Living in Seattle, Washington, I'm used to rain, so that didn't bother me. Wish I had my G3 for the trip. Guess we'll have to go back some day.
