Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and very glad I found it. Anyways, I have a canon 20d and absolutely love it. I have done most of my editing on my MacBook Pro 15", but am looking to get a larger LCD. I was set on getting the Samsung 226Bw at Circuit City ($320), but after reading more, I am not so sure. I have heard that TN panels are BAD for photo editing. I am 20 years old and don't have a huge chunk of cash to spend (~350). So I don't know if I will be able to afford a PVA or an MVA monitor.

I want to get a solid and consistent work flow set up for my photography. So I will be buying a monitor and some sort of monitor calibrator, a whole nother issue haha. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

The Samsung looked soooo good to me, but supposedly isnt a true 8-bit monitor. Thanks!

You can check monitors on this web site:

You should be looking for S-IPS

Take a look at this monitor: $339

I have read good comments here about the Dell

I have located several other choices in this price range, but have them bookmarked at work. Newegg.com is a good source. Very good rating and prices are good as well
