I took a lot of pictures of this bird today. Talk about an industrious bird. She never took a break either.

A fantastic series of shots, well done Mitch. Great behavior shots and well taken at that. Wonderful timing as well. You have to take in all the shots to appreciate the entire series.

Thanks Dennis. I have several complete series of this same bird, leaving the nest, hunting bugs then going back to the nest to feed the chicks. It's really hard picking just the better ones to show. But it's very interesting behaviour. something I had no idea they did. Well, I guess I just had no idea what they did. :)

Tomorrow though, you can believe it'll be the Beamer and Fill Flash. ;)

Thanks Jason. I got real lucky with this bird. She's about 50 feet into the park. No long walk here. :)

Thanks Gary. Taken from the path, not 50 yards from the truck. ;)

Thanks Sindri, Adi and Reyno. This bird was an acrobat on those grass stalks. She could lean out and twirl around on them and use them like swivels to catch bugs. One time I even saw here dig into one like a tree and pull a bug out from inside. :)

Thanks Phil, that shot is one of my favorites from the day. She was quite close. :)

No, she didn't stop for the hour and a half I was there watching her. And she did pretty good too. It didn't take her long to get a beak full of bugs. :)
