Natalie only moved away from the microphone once during the first three songs and that was to have an assistant do something with the back of her dress. She only opened her eyes, and then only part way, twice during the first three songs and both times was when the spotlights were off and she only looked off to the side with half closed lids. But she looks great for a 57 year old, eh?

Real, real good set... Short and sweet and to the point... Each image is excellent...

She keeps herself in beautiful shape... A great star...

Nice images, as usual.
I would look into the conversion of the last one however... Nasty things happening with the blue.magenta backlight on her shoulders.
In LR there is a nifty function that might help:
Click the button, then in the image, click and drag a color, to adjust hue/sat.
I think lowering blue/magenta saturation would help. (Either that, or use DPP )

It is tough to capture a great animated close up if they are fairly un-animated LOL

Yes, I noticed that shoulder ... a bit odd. Anyway, I found the direct saturation control ... just up and down movements? With that color greatly desaturated it looks better but at the boundary on shoulder front it appears almost posterized either way. I had forgotten that function was there ... sure makes it easy to get the target color for adjustments. If we keep this up I may even start using PS CS2/3 (I have CS3 (I have CS3 Web Premium) but have heard mixed reviews so far.)

That's the main reason I use DPP: It does better with 'difficult colors' like this.
ACR and/or LR might do better when calibrated...

I'll give those downloads a try.

Saw Natalie in an episode of Gray's Anatomy. She is in extremely good shape for her age. Me? Jealous? No... why would you think that I would be....

Yup, very staid ... although the local newspaper guy got a picture of her with her eye almost all the way open ... I never saw it! But he's been doing this a lot longer than I have.

Long time, no see, Kman. Glad you like the "on stage" shots ... I was interrogated by our production manager about being on the stage before the performance ... apparently is it not the best etiquette but it seems like there's always a technician or two futzing with things right up until the performers come on ... so I showed him what I was doing and he said, "OK, as long as you're working." I expect he won't ping me about it again now that he knows I'm not just snooping around the instruments. Of course, I have been shooting there for 2-1/2 years but only doing these 'on stage' shots for six months and he probably never noticed 'til now.

Wow Dwight awesome. Number 3 looks like it is 3d.
