I like #3 best, #1 seems a tad red overall.
And yes, the 50 1.8 is an awesome little lens.

You might crop a little off the lest side of #3, move her out of the center a bit.

see all that space on the left side of her? and yet her leg/foot is cut off on the right! Big no no. also... looks like a little too much contrast.

the others is not too shabby

to fix it you could crop it and even out the chopping off of her foot. you still have the original? maybe i could see what i could do for the pic if you'd like

bah no luck I took a look through my pc but nothing =( but if i did id be more then happy letting you edit it all you want :D if I cropped it to the end of her butt/pocket getting rid of the other leg would that be any better? if anything that pretty much is the orignal--i think the only thing I did was hit up the contrast and clean up her face a little-- it was a quick little shoot in my high school courtyard --she just wanted some myspace photos =X

this is all i could do without the originals. when you put too much contrast... usually it'll look a little better in b&w. On both, i cleaned up her face a little more, and smoothened it out. The first one I blured the background a little, and the second one i played with the levels and curves to try to make it a little better and work with the contrast you did. hope it looks nice, and if it does... feel free to give it to your friend for her myspace... after all it is your picture!

I definitely love the colors and the crop in the second. The bl/w I feel it is a little to soft but either or both are good improvements from the orignal. The touch-up of the skin..::loves:: hm do you happen to have any good tutorials on that? I have photoshop etc I just need some good tutorials or some tools you may have used so I can experiment with? I believe their was a good post around here before but I seemed to have misplaced the post.

thank you!
