Hi eveyone:

I just attended my wife's high school reunion, and of course everyone there was taking pictures left and right.

Someone asked me if I knew of a web site / hosting service where an account could be created, and then everyone could upload to the same gallery, so that everyone could view everyone's pictures.

I currently have a Smugmug account, but am not willing to have everyone e-mail their pictures to me for upload. Alos, I'm trying to avoid the situation where I create an account somewhere, and then turn over the username & password to the masses.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Scott

I use a 20D with a Sigma 24-70 or a Sigma 70-200 or a Tamron 18-200 or a Nifty and from time to time a 430EX

Try coppermine or gallery2 - both will allow you to set up galleries other people can upload to.

If you have a Smugmug pro account you can create guest accounts, they can upload to that directory but can't get to your control panel. You can also open a Flickr account.

I do have a SM pro account, but am unwilling to give so much control over to people I don't know that well.

The upload via e-mail option, however, allows multiple people to e-mail the pictures. They are captured in one gallery, and then I can move them to the gallery I want. I think that might work just fine. Had I not seen the Pro Guest password option, I probably wouldn't have discovered the e-mail option - so thanks for the suggestion!

Its not as professional as SM but I would suggest a photobucket account. You can host a lot images and if anyone wants, they can make a slideshow. You could do like username: grad xxxx and password: class of xxxx, that should be easy to remember for most.

I would suggest flickr but photobucket allows way more photos to be uploaded..
