Focus Points while in Manual (5D)

I just got a 5D (yay) (used), and one thing I've not been able to figure out is how to get the focus points to light up while in manual mode. In fact, they seem to only light up when in P mode. This is different than my experience with my 10D.

Any suggestions?

Check the setting for C.Fn-10. If it is set to 1, the AF point will not light up.

Maybe you should do a reset on the camera to get it back to factory defaults. Otherwise you may have some other settings adjusted by the previous owner.

Don't lump all the pros into one angry group... ;)

And don't think people are angry just because they recommend people read and understand the manual - especially since 99% of the time, the answer is right there in the book that came with your camera. :)

And just to be a little snarky, the original owner still has not sent the manual, charger, disks, etc (but promised to)...so it would have been a bit hard to read.*

*Ok, I know it's on line
