help with duotone/quadtones - iris shot

I could use some help with this process, if anyone knows how to do it...I shot in raw just after a rainstorm. Converted to tiff with C1. Then I converted to greyscale in PS, then quadtones...I had a lot of small very white dots in the pic---I'm not sure if they were artifacts, or raindrops that converted to some wierd form...wondering how to avoid it...if its just me not understanding the process, or what.
This is pic and the link is to the original if anyone feels like playing with it...I'd love to know what happened.

comparing the processing to the riginal picture, I have to admit that the crop was well done to avoid the dark leave on the bottom lelf that darkens the whole shot and distracts, the processing also made the picture more homogenous and the blurry background is nice too.
the white dots you saw are probably from the reflexion of the flash light, usually are more apearant when you sharpen
