From the Atlanta Zoo earlier. The last three are a little blown out, I know, but it's a beautiful bird nontheless.

all great shots but just that background ewww but what can u do?
i love the colors on him, what a pretty bird. i like the third shot best if it had the first shots background.

Very nice looking bird. Was he caged alone? He looks like a bird eater with that hooked beak. :)

No, he was caged with a Blue-breasted Kingfisher, and few Superb Starlings (pics of them later) some ducks, and a few other unknown birds. It was an open arear with netting over the trees.

Nice shots Grimm even with the hot highlights. I don't know what DOF you used but Neat Image, or another noise reducing program can remove, or reduce, at least some of the netting from the backgrounds.
