GaryFairhead Cream of the Crop More info | May 28, 2007 21:38 | #5 This post is only 35 minutes old as i am viewing it and its already on page 2. This forum is on fire tonight...I like the 4th image for the exposure and contrast between the birds and the water, Colors are nice and good action. The first 3 images are pretty hot and I am not sure what time of day you are shooting these but I know mant photogs will not bother with egrets except for very early light or evening light as the whites are so difficult. I am getting some heavy pixalation in image #5 (sky). The last image looks like the higlite slider in shadow and highlites was moved too far to the right as the light doesn't look right. The birds all appear well focused and your timing is good but there are some issues you have to work on. Gary Fairhead C/C welcome .....

All of the shots were taken during the middle of the day resulting in "hot" shots. #5 was significantly cropped and #6 PP was a bit overdone. Thanks for the comments and critique. ROCK

I`d love to photograph them.Mark We have three types of egrets around where I live. The great egrets like these, Snowy egrets and cattle egrets. The snowy is much smaller with yellow feet and black bill, the Cattle egrets are also smaller and generally are found in fields rather than on the water. ROCK
