We've had a female wood duck nesting in a house that we put up in our back yard.

The shot is a bit soft, taken at approximately 75 yards with a 100-400 and then cropped by probably 60% or so.

Hope everyone is doing well.

:)

Roger, is this the one you've had up for a couple years? How far away is it from water?

Hello All,

Mitch, the house has been up only a couple of months. It is about 15 feet from the water facing SW, which was the direction recommended by the nature preserve guys that we got the house from. The ducks took to it right away.

Howzitboy,

I liked your interpretation of the picture. Thanks for taking the time to do that.

I actually darkened the picture from what it had been originally. The house is white pine and very white in reality.

Thanks all for looking and commenting on the shot.

:)
