I'm back after not posting anything for a while as I bought my first L len. Picked up the 70-200 4.0 (non-IS) to get my feet in the water in the L series life style and here are a few of my first shots with this lens. Let me know what you think and how I can improve. Thanks everyone and look forward to getting some constructive feedback. And always check out my fathers website wild66.com (Zipdude66)

Thanks,

Tim McIlwain

Welcome to the L world son! I can see by these shots it's in good hands. Love that first shot, is that what you call a duck-plug?:)

Being the kind of person I am (and being able to afford it) I bought 9 L lenses and three Canon digital cameras. I am still a long way from being an accomplished photographer. I have seen a lot of great pictures posted here by people using equipment nowhere near as good as mine, proving that it is the photographer 1st and the equipment 2nd.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I really enjoy spending time trying to capture a beautiful image to share with friends and family and the rest of the world. I was never really into chasing birds around until I went out with my dad and really found out about how much of an art there is to it and I'm looking forward into seeing what else I can come up with as I grow within my photography. Any helpful hints and critisism is always accepted and greatly appreciated. Its definatly a great group of bird watchers (chasers) here and I look forward to seeing what you all have to offer. Thanks again. Oh yeah and I almost forgot, if you have not been to wild66.com check it out. Its not my website but by far my favorite ;) (love you dad). Thanks again to you all and hope to see all your great shots to come.

Thanks, Tim
