How do you merge pictures? not like one on top of the other, but like the bride and groom are actually part of the item, like flowers or standing on it?

I have CS2 and cannot figure it out, looked for a tutorial online....so figured here would be next.

I think you're going to have to explain this better or post some examples of what you're trying to achieve.

I'm having a hard time understanding what you want too. Is it something similar like the attached image. This is not the same subject matter but it is blending two images into one.

Basically,

I have two images...and I want to combine the two into one shot...as if they were taken with one shot

In film, I used to do this by not advancing the flim, and placing one image on the top of another and came out with some awesome shots..

Since digital...I have been to busy learning other things and just recently though of using this for wedding or event photo's. But have no idea how to do it with CS2.

Does that better explain it?

Say I have a picture of a bride and groom. and then I have a close up of flowers...I would like to place the bride and groom into the flowers...a bit transparent...

heres my way (easy too)

open flower image

open couple image, copy it and paste it onto the flower shot, close couple image.

add layer mask to the couple shot then lower opacity to 50% so u can see the flower.

reset your colors by hitting the "d" button. it should be black/white.

pick the paint brush tool and what u do is paint out the parts u dont want (parts the cover the flower) using black. if u make a mistake , u can use white to "un-erase".

tadaa! you are done. easy huh?
