1600x1200, x2. So technically, 3200x1200. Niiice.

same here, but as has been mentioned, we're not really representative of 'internet-users'.

I've visited PotN from my PDA before so I'll go for 320x240. :)

Anyone tried it from a phone?

1680*1050

Surprised to find that being the most widely (no pun intended!) used resolution here. Not long ago people considered it an odd size.

Screen manufacturers are pushing wide screens so its rapidly become popular. The shape of a widescreen allows more to be cut from a single platter so its cheaper to make a 17" wide screen than a 17" normal screen.

my monitor too is 1680x1050 and I usually post at 800 pixels on the longest edge.

Ditto above, 800 wherever I post.

I guess now I've turned to Sony I am an Alpha-Male. Did have a blast with Canon though : )

Assuming an LCD monitor, the best resolution to use is it's native resoultion.

Good call, Rad! I wondered when somebody would point that out. Anybody who is not using their LCD at native resolution must be wondering why their images are fuzzy!

It's widely accepted that LCDs now match and surpass CRTs for colour, but nobody ever mentions the resolution issue. I love the fact that CRTs give genuine choice of resolution. It's going to sound weird, but on my big CRT at home, I set my res kinda low, so that the pixels are bigger. That way, I don't find myself leaning in and peering at the screen when I'm doing very precise pixel editing ... my posture is bad enough already!!!

Has anyone said they don't use the native resolution?
