First Kingfisher shot

This is the first time I have ever seen a Kingfisher in the flesh, so I was quite pleased when she came along, dove into the water and came back and posed for me with a fish in her mouth. :D Shot taken using a 100-400L with 1.4tc attached and the settings were 560mm f8, 1/320, ISO320.

Very nice shot, for the first shot of the kingfisher, this is really a good one !

This is a spectacular shot Kev! ;)

I'm trying to figure out if you are really lucky, or i am really un-lucky!?! There's a Kingfisher at my local reserve, i've seen him 4 times in the last month, but never pirched.... Not even a long enough view to get my camera to my eye! :mrgreen:

Great shot! Are your Kingfishers as elusive as ours here in the US? I have an ongoing "battle" with a local pair who keep giving me the slip day after day. You should be proud of that capture...

Fantastic shot, very sharp, colorful and the raindrops add a lot to the shot as well.
