[Edit] RIP my beautiful Cookie :(

Hi all,

I haven't been around in a while :( although I'm trying to get more online and photography time. I'd like to share some pictures of my beautiful parrot. She is a yellow sided green cheek Conure and obviously hand reared and beautifully loving.

I hope you like. My 1st post in the bird forum.

Wonderful photos. Which body / lens combination did you use? I have a peach fronted conure. Conures are wonderful birds..

If I remember rightly the first 2 shots are with the 20D and the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 because of the crop value on the camera and macro lens. The last few are with the 5D and the 24-70L lens :)

Conures do make wonderful pets :D

Again, thank you for your comments. Sadly my baby died on Monday being anaesthetised for an x-ray after she had an accident on Saturday. We're distraught and feeling very wobbly over her loss :(

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, I have a few hand reared birds including a conure and I know how attached you become to them. Your bird was beautiful!
