Well, I had to do it.
I went to a fairly local park today to do some fishing, but because of loud, crazy children chasing things into the water and careless owners letting their dogs splash around me, I wasn't having very much luck. So, I took out the Rebel and tried some handheld duck photography using the Canon 70-200 f/4 L lens.
Okay, some of these may not be ducks, such as the coot chick, but all birds have rights! :D

I thought #1 was a baby duck.
Nice shots, enjoy the lens, mine has been living on my 10D since January.

Thanks, Ed! There is such a superfluous amount of coots over here, but the chicks are so fun to watch. Their legs and feet are so huge compared to the rest of them... and the little "peep! peeeeep!" they make is heart-melting.
