One Shrike, Two Shrike's!!

So I get up this morning to let the dog out and what do I see in my backyard hanging around my Dutchman's pipevine. Two Loggerhead Shrike's. They stayed in my backyard for sometime. I think they were either hunting lizards or my Pipevine swallow tail cat's. Either way it was really cool to have them haning out in my yard for the morning. I hope they come back and get some of those darn lizards.

Excellent shots of the cute little butcherbirds, sharp with poses and b/g's... They both appear to be juvenile birds and you are very lucky to have them up close and personal.:)

Yeah, I was thinking they looked like juveniles also. I have yet to see one. Lucky you and those are terrific shots!
