Here are a couple from this weekend. I am so glad it's summer ball time. I always have a good time with the team and their families.

Been there before, sometimes threads just skip by...anyways, good shots, color and action. Only thing I could suggest is #2, crop it different by using the fence in the background and "straighten" it out a bit - though on many fields the background fence isn't always straight it helps to make it look even (sometimes doesn't so best to just check and see).

I know, I was just being a wise A$$, I thought about just letting it slip into oblivion but it has been a slow day around here and i was bored...

Yea, I looked at the fence and I always have a hard time deciding with such shots, because like you say the fences are never straight, epecially when considering perspective...

As for the colors, I love the pink uniforms they "pop" better than their white ones. (and they aren't as annoying when the light is changing fast and throw my meter threw loops.)

Here's a tip I learned a while ago that accounts for perspective: don't rely on "horizontal" horizons - they can be tricked by exactly what you are describing - look for vertical references. Most fence posts, building corners, door frames, light poles, sides of signs, etc, are vertical, and remain so independent of whatever optical illusions perspective may try to play on you.

When I adjust horizons in PhotoShop, I always us vertical references.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I should have thought about that. I will keep that in mind from now on. It is good to learn something new :)
