So I rented the 100-400L for a week to use during my trip to Banff. Tomorrow the lens goes back to the store, and it will be missed. Coupled with my 20D after a few hours, I started to really get the hang of this lens. I've got a boat load of images from Banff that I'm still sorting thru (including my encounter with a herd of mountain sheep 20' away!).

I returned on Sunday evening, but I spent the last two evenings out around my home taking some wildlife shots, which i'm blessed to live close to. So, starting off I figured I'd start with a shot I took today of a seagull. Yeah, boo, boring, but the bokeh did it for me. Stay tuned more images coming soon.

I might be a bit odd but I actually like seagulls and enjoy photographing them a lot, you can get such great expressions and poses from seagulls, so I would never class them as boring :)

nice pic :)
