I stopped at the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge near Seneca Falls, NY over the weekend to practice with my Bigma. I got this shot of a Red-winged Blackbird. C&C appreciated.

I think this is a great shot. I love the composition with the stems/weeds. You also got the blacks in the bird nicely.

Thanks, Mitch! It was a nice evening, just before sunset. I liked how the setting sun lit up his tail feathers.

I like the Bigma, but it is a bit heavy and cumbersome. I was shooting from the car (they don't like you to get out of the car and disturb the animals) so I had it mounted on a beanbag and balanced on the edge of the window.
