Bicycling with ThinkTank set-up

I've been happily using Lowepro Slingshot 200 and 300 backpacks, depending on how much I want to carry, when walking or hiking.

But I've found that, although I like to combine bicycling with picture-taking, I don't particularly enjoy riding with a backpack loaded with camera gear. So I've been imagining that maybe it would be preferable to use something like a ThinkTank belt combined with a case for my 30D and one for my 70-200 f/4.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried this kind of set-up and, if so, whether it's comfortable and convenient.

can't comment specifically about this setup but having commuted for a number of years by bike (some while carrying a laptop--which is still in use by my sister), i suggest you look at bags that you can carry on the bike instead of on you. rivendellbicycles.com carries a number of bike bags and ways to mount them. nashbar.com also sell bags but they're more "techy"

i hate carrying stuff on my person when riding, make the bike do the work for you.
