I was going through the Osprey Day pictures and came across these. I wasn't really sure what they were until I realized that the talons are yellow. Not the greatest pictures - they're ppretty severe crops - but how often do you get to see an immature bald eagle? So here they are...

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

I'm so glad you got some great pics of this guy!

They look this for about 4 or 5 years I understand.. this one seems to be missing some primarys as well.

Great shots.. the last one is superb!

CDS, check through your images - I think you got some of this guy, too. I think it was "that gull that kept fooling us" but maybe he fooled you too well? :)

I was suprised when I came across these - I had already gone through the images twice - the delete run and the keeper run. I was going through the final trash run when I decided to take a closer look at this one.

Well, when are you going to come up for a visit? Try to plan for something in the fall during migration - we've got a bunch of hot spots up here. CDS and I will take you around and guarantee a good time.

OK, if that's too long, how about next week? I'm going back to that site again while the fish are still running....

Good thing you didn't delete them. I like the 3rd one the best ... fantastic capture of an awesome creature.
