Don't know if you guys saw my previous thread, but I just got my first DSLR last weekend and went out and took a few pictures of my campus. Looking for all sorts of criticism to make me a better photographer :) None of these have been processed in any way except for resizing.

Here's the previous thread in case you're curious:

I took a set of pics of the falling water at different shutter speeds to play around (note: without a tripod :(). Although this is slightly out of focus, I think it's my favorite of the set (slowest shutter speed I could get without significant camera shake):

As a quick composition question, do you prefer the above which has the fountain edge on the bottom and bottom left of the picture, or do you think it's better without that? (diff shutter speed but just curious about composition).

This was my best attempt to shoot this fountain w/ the sky and sun close to the frame:

Thanks!

the last shot, of the fountain, the foreground is a bit dark, id lighten it up so its not tooo dark.
the other shots of the fountain, just for the life of me, I dont like those stairs in the background. my eyes keep wandering over to it. Out of the 2, i like the one with the blur, but as u know, tripod is a must unless u were born with 3 legs j/k.
