Got the Avocet at Washington Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, and bred for the first time up here last year, we all hoped they would return to breed this year and have presented us with 3 chicks, and the Jay at Thornley Wildlife Center Rowlands Gill, both in Tyne and Wear.

Really nice shots. The second is very nice, great feather detail and excellent exposure on the white area of the bird, not easy to do. I would prefer a bit more space at the top. Both interesting looking birds.
Regards,
Joe

Very nice shots, I especially like pic#2 for the pose and the exposure. I consider Avocets to be one of the most graceful and beautiful shorebirds, and it's very nice to see the different species you havein the UK, thanks for sharing.:)
