Iowa POTN Gathering?

POTN Iowans, let's get together! chloeosmom sent me a PM yesterday telling me that it's good to see another corn-fed photographer on the boards, and that she'd love to have a meet. I know there are some on here from the Des Moines/Ames area and the Quad Cities as well. I'm from Iowa City. Is anyone interested? Know of any big events that would be fun to shoot?

I'm from Mason City. Nothing going on here though.

Here I am, but the only thing we have is Nordic Fest coming in July. Mostly just locals in costumes. Maybe the negative attitude as I se it every year... But Rondesvous Days in September in FOrt Atkinson, thats always cool, and I havnt been in a while. We also venture to the MN Renn Fest, and theres a trip coming together for WI Bristol Renn Fest too. But for Iowa, man we got to think, think, think, think..while tapping head.

Iowa State Fair is coming up but I haven't been in a long time and am not sure if there's much to see/shoot.

Iowa here too, not far from fishyone.
Would like to meet up somewhere if we can find an event or something.

I'm in northwest Iowa currently for the summer, otherwise once college starts back up I'll be in the Ames area... Not sure of any huge events, unless you wanted to get a collaboration effort in shooting something like RAGBRAI as it went across Iowa??

Early in the year I know of at least 2 Tulip Festivals that would be great to shoot. Iowa has some really amazing wildlife to shoot and some excellent sporting events.

Ragbrai might be fun. Any ideas on the route. I hear Lance Armstrong will be in it.

Lance will be there the whole ride as I understand. They will be overnighting in Hampton and Cedar Falls.
Unfortunatly I will be in Wisconsin that week.
