Welp My mk3 is dead.... :(

Just giot my mark III. Everytime I try to shoot with it it gives a error 99. The mirrorshutter seems to be stuck and will not move when you press the shutter button. it sounds liek it is trying but it wont.

Yep sendi t back and wait for couple months to get another one... If i send it to Canon they will probably have it for a couple months...

it happens with any lens or even with no lens ayttached.

try another lens.

edit: or not, thats what happens when you leave the tab open for 5 minutes and then decide to reply without refreshing :(

Does Cannon not reapit cameras decently? I have never had to have anything repaired. I just dont want ot wait another 2 months for another one.

What's better? Getting a camera repaired/replaced, or keeping a broken $4500 camera?

Canon USA repair is decent in my experience, but I don't know where you are. Just return it for a refund if you can't wait to get it back or there are none available for exchange. Wait till stock is plentiful and bugs are ironed out. Get a 30D or something in the meantime.
