S45 doesn't power up

First - flattery - I'm so glad I found this site, I've had fun reading through the forums. I'll be back, often.

I own a Canon S45 which was one of the best technology purchases I've ever made, I LOVE it, and the gorgeous photos it takes.

However, I just got back from my brother's wedding, where the camera got wet (I was the best man, so my girlfriend was on camera duty and carried on taking photos when it started raining.) It acted a bit weird - the lens wouldn't go back in when I clicked over the cover. I now realise I should have left the lens out and dried it off thoroughly, maybe that's what it was trying to tell me. I fiddled with it, and got the lens to go in. But now it won't power up. I've let it dry out for a few days, with the battery and CF card out and the lens cover open. I recharged the battery fully, but still no response.

So I have a couple of questions:

· Is there a button combination for a 'hard' reset? I managed to get all the photos off of the CF card (using a CF card reader, not the camera,) so don't care about that.

· I suspect it's not completely dry in there still. Is it hard to open the puppy up to let it dry out properly? My Sony digital video camera also got wet and freaked out, but when you open it up to get to the tape it exposes most of the inside, and it dried out in a couple of hours.

Any other advice appreciated also!

Gregor
