free mags

Dishonesty does not appear to be an issue on the forum. Interesting.

Yes you are right. Some of us are being dishonest. Let's be honest about that. I own my own company and I am what I said I am in the questionairre. It worked for me.

Same here.

It is true that the magazine I co-own is a side business, but a business none the less and my answers were on spot for it :)

Not that I am feeling ill-will towards those that were a shade dishonest. I have learned that magazines make their money from ad sales and not circulation numbers.

Increased ad circulation results in greater opportunity for ad sales.

It is what it is...

They want way too much information. Sounds like data-mining gone wild.

This is very true, that is why I don't feel so bad about the possible couple dozen or so people grabbing for free here. Not that the additional 20 peolple will allow them to increase their rates ;)

Yeah, I think if all the geeks here signed up for this, we would make a very small dent in their ad revenue. I just figured "why not" since I already get plenty of trade publications, PC Magazine, Forbes, Kiplingers, and a bunch of home related magazines through this type of site.

CDS, I am sorry it did not work for you. If you are willing to be dishonest, then maybe you can change your answer and expand your repertoire of skills to get it. What's the worst that will happen, you will read one of the magazines and actually BUY something from what you have read or seen. Oh Heaven, spare the thought!

With the amount of moolah fellow geeks and gearheads who hang out on this forum spend, advertisers would be lining up to give us magazines to read and drool over.

What do you guys think?

Well said. I think it is obvious that we are not afraid to spend money when we are ready. Photography cannot be done by pirating so we spend when we need.
