Yes, that would work but the reason it is sometimes misakenly flown upside down is that the hanging lanyard on flags is always stiched onto the flag, so you can only suspend it from that side. Therefore you can't fly it rotated 180 degrees - only upside down! (I hope I've explained that OK!)

I'm afraid I have to get some sleep now (it's 1.40 am) although I notice that Box Brownie and Mark are still awake! We'll resume, I hope, in the (my) morning.

Tom - I found this quote on the web, which you may find of interest.
