You probably know already but, for the benefit of our friends from overseas, perhaps I should mention that this is a memorial to the the members of the RAF from Commonwealth countries that gave their lives during WWII. Runnymede also has a memorial to John F Kennedy. However, perhaps Runnymede is most famous for the fact that it was here that King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215.
