Looks like StewartR got it.

Why do I always check in just too late ;)

[edit: not that I'd have had time to search for this one at the moment :)]

Jolly good. This one might be fun.

Where Am I Now? - and what can you tell us about this statue?

Looking at the car behind, I would say it's in England, in front of a train/bus station

Edit: not England, but Scotland. Sorry ;-)a

It is in front of Glasgow's main station...

=http://www.rampantscotland.com/glasgow/glw_firemen.htm]This (external link) memorial, outside Glasgow's Central station, was erected in 2001 in memory of the firemen who have lost their lives in Glasgow and the West of Scotland. In particular, on May 29 1960 during the Cheapside docks fire, when 19 firemen were killed.

The statue took on a new significance in October of 2001 when more than 200 Glasgow firemen gathered at the statue in the centre of the city to pay tribute to the US firefighters who were killed in the Twin Towers catastrophe on 11 September.

Very impressive work indeed, Didier!

I took two photos of the 'Citizen Firefighter' sculpture, from slightly different angles, and in the other one you can't see the "i" signs by the station entrance or the "CCTV" wording on the car. I think I should have posted that one instead!

The car didn't help that much. It was knowing it was in front of a station. I just did a google search with "firefighter statue station" and it was on page 2 ;-)a

I'll post something soon...

Initially, I wanted to post this picture

HOSTED PHOTO
please log in to view hosted photos in full size.

But it's probably impossible to find. Knowing where it is, I can't find a similar picture... So I don't expect you to find it.

So here is the official WAIN shot:

This is extremely annoying, because I'm convinced that I have seen this building but I can't for the life of me remember where!

The only building I can think of that shape is one of the Hotels on the seafront of The Hague, Holland - but the boats in front don't fit there...

I don't think that anyone has asked if it's in the USA, so I will. Is it in the USA?
