We have got, or have had, other female WAINers - flo and becky to name but two. They haven't participated for some time, however, although they are very active on other threads.

Hey, no fair! I don't have a glass to raise here at work. Well maybe a Diet Coke will do until I get home.

I have to say, I never figured this thread would have the popularity it has developed. I have spent quite a few hours here and enjoyed every minute. Along the way I've learned a lot about our world and the people who share it. Thanks to you all who contribute here. There has been many great pictures posted that have taken us all over the world. I must add that the South Pole pictures are a suprise! We've had many remote locations, some popular yet difficult to identify spots, and everything inbetween. I hope this thread will continue to thrive, it's only because of the participation from all of you that this has been so interactive, social and fun. I remember playing the super macro guessing game last spring and thinking about the structure of the game. I thought going to the other end of the size spectrum would be interesting and allow for research into locations and characteristics depicted in the photographs. Some of the first 10,000 posts have great architecture illustrated while others might simply feature a silhouette.

The POTN members here are like family. We've shared personal stories, learned about family, jobs and much more.

Thanks Roy for helping me plan my trip in October to Italy!

I look forward to the next 10,000 posts and the knowledge, challenge, frustration and "missed it by a minute" moments that will certainly always be a part of W.A.I.N.

I agree with every word you say tom. As for helping with your Italian trip, it was my pleasure, I assure you - and I hope I was of some help. Now let's see the pictures (although now we've let the cat out of the bag, we'll all be guessing 'Italy' for your posts:D).

Now we've passed the 10,000 mark, we should all raise a glass to Tom, who started this whole thing off.

Haha, it's fun, but I was in Antarctica for 2 months, and I was ready to kill someone lol, not good for us humans to be in such a place for extended periods of time. Ok, I'm back offline for a short while, should be back on in a few hours. Wow, over 10k posts, just amazing.

*raises glass* "A toast, To us WAINers...and to Tom."

ok, I'm playing catch up. Yes Filmgirlie that was an Alopex Lagopus, or I suppose you could call it an Arctic Fox...a very young one. I ended up playing high and seek with a few of them, I was bouldering when I stumbled upon them playing. I thought it was a good hint. Now, back on the hunt of the current WAIN.
