Why is This Robin Puffing Up?

I was shooting in my backyard when I noticed this robin puffing up to about twice its regular size. Is there any bird behaviorist out there who could explain why they do this?

1) She's pregnant!

2) He's been drinking too much beer.

3) Too much time in front of the TV.

4) Too many snacks!

5) Trying to imitate me! :p

Temperature control, birds fluff the feathers up to trap air which is used for insulation.

Was it a cold day.

Yes, the temperature was lower than usual. I had to put a warmer cloth to shoot. Thanks for the explanation! :D
